History
To Our Players, Captains, Sponsors, and Hockey Community,
For years, the Chickadee Hockey League has been built on a simple idea: create the best possible adult hockey experience in Maine. What began as a local recreational league has grown into the largest adult ice hockey league in the state, welcoming thousands of player registrations, fostering lasting friendships, and providing a competitive, organized, and fun environment for players of all skill levels.
Today, I am excited to announce the next chapter in our journey.
The Chickadee Hockey League is now the Hat Trick Hockey League.
While our name has changed, our commitment to the hockey community remains stronger than ever. This rebrand reflects who we have become: a premier adult hockey organization focused on delivering an exceptional player experience, professional league operations, and opportunities for continued growth across Maine.
The new Hat Trick Hockey League identity better represents the energy, competition, and passion that define our players. It reflects our vision of building a league that not only serves today's hockey community, but continues to expand opportunities for adult players for years to come.
What will not change is what has made our league successful:
Well-organized and competitive divisions
Strong relationships with local rinks and hockey partners
Consistent and reliable scheduling
A welcoming environment for players of all ages and skill levels
Dedicated league leadership focused on continuous improvement
A commitment to sportsmanship, community, and the love of the game
As Maine's largest adult hockey league, we remain committed to investing in our programs, enhancing our technology and communications, expanding league offerings, and creating an even better experience for every participant.
Most importantly, none of this would be possible without our incredible players, team captains, officials, volunteers, sponsors, and rink partners. Your support, loyalty, and enthusiasm have built this league into what it is today.
The Hat Trick Hockey League represents a new brand, but it is built on the same foundation that has made our organization successful for years: community, competition, and passion for hockey.
We are excited for the future and grateful that you are part of it.
